Visiting the eastern coast of Canada including the Province of New Brunswick will make for a relaxing, and joyous summer holiday for the whole family. The Province offers many urban attractions in Saint John and Moncton. There are also the natural marvels found in the National Parks or along the seemingly endless coastal shores.

Whether you decide to walk quietly in the forests, glide over glassy waters in a canoe or kayak, or wander over cliffs shaped by the world's highest tides, there is something to do for everyone. Tidal beaches and cliffs make for an interesting shoreline in the Bay of Fundy. The area is active for bikers and cyclists, boaters and hikers. Birdwatchers tend to congregate near Alma or visit the quiet community of St Andrews by the Sea. If your sweet tooth is acting up, take a jaunt over to St. Stephen and visit the chocolate factory and museum.

Probably the biggest attraction in the region are the Hopewell Rocks or Flowerpot Rocks. The pillars have been shaped and reshaped over the years by the massive tides that slam the coastline eating away the shore. Tides in this area can reach as high as a four story building, causing the Rocks to disappear or nearly disappear at high tide. Even more beautiful vistas can be seen by traveling to Cape Enrage, where if the tide is right, you can hunt for prehistoric fossils. But watch the tides, or you might get stranded and need rescuing.

Those tourist who prefer outdoors activities should head over to the New Brunswick National Parks. Kouchibouguac is known for its calm swimming lagoons and warm salt waters safe for family leisure. Campgrounds abound. Canoe and kayaking rental places are plentiful in case you failed to bring your own.

If swimming pools are more to your liking then travel to the other National Park. Fundy National is a mix of urban and wilderness pleasures including golf, covered bridges, man made swimming pools as well as hiking and biking and running paths to keep you busy.

Moncton and Saint John offer up a variety of shopping opportunities, markets, restaurants and quality hotels for those who prefer not to rough it. Check out the City Market in Saint John and the Crystal Palace Amusement Park in Moncton.
