I Get asked frequently "What new Marketing Tactics are the so-called Gurus using to make money

?" To be honest, there is no one simple answer, but I will go over 6 of the best strategies that they use and how you can implement it into your own personal marketing arsenal.

The number one way that they make money is LIST BUILDING...or email marketing. You can do this by creating a landing (squeeze) page for people to sign up for your newsletter. This is usually a stand alone page, where you can do a combination of things. First, you can try to sell your visitors a solution to their problem...whether it be weight loss, or what food to feed their dog. Second, you can offer you a free video, or eBook, depicting a topic similar to what you are selling. This is how you can start to create your email list, so in the future you can promote your own products, or those from an affiliate site or joint venture, that you have established.

I realize I am leaving quite a bit of stuff out about email marketing, like copy-writing, what color should be on your background, how many bulletted lists you should use etc. my goal isn't to give you an full 2 hour tutorial, but to make you aware of the easiest and most profitable ways to make money from your blog, or website, etc.

The second most prolific way to make money, is to make sure you have relevant content on your site. If you are using a squeeze page, make sure you pack it with useful information to entice your reader to continue reading and to take action. If it is writing for your blog post, make sure you are addressing a problem, or a newsworthy comment about your industry. Sometimes asking for advice in your blog post could generate a massive response from your readers. As often as possible in your blog post try to have a picture/video, relating your story. if your writing skills aren't the greatest, have a friend, colleague, to review your post and ask their opinion. If you have the resources, I would highly recommend you outsource your SEO writing to an expert copywriter.


Third, is to create back links, or one way links to your site, this may require some time, but you can accomplish this by joining a few forums or blogs and commenting on their posts. You can also hire a company to do it for you, my advice is to do both. Pay to have your link prominently displayed, or at the very least have them list your site in their directory. Some reciprocal links may work, but are not as effective, but it doesn't hurt, as long as you can monitor the sites you are linking to, and be "choosy" about who you have linking back to you. As in life, we are judged by who we associate with. you can also get links from distributing articles to article directories.

Fourth, is writing articles for your industry, what many people do is take their blog posts and submit them to article directories as well as forums and groups. Writing articles puts your link permanently on several sites and this could snowball over time into thousands of sites. Not only does it help with creating links to your sites from high ranking sites, it helps establish your credibility and knowledge in your industry.

Fifth, is to utilize your relationships, in many instances this is considered a joint venture, where two parties agree to work together on a specific project, many fortune 500 companies do this, why not you. you could offer to swap services, either by promoting a complementary service or item by a competitor or someone in your industry. Many joint ventures include sharing of resources, or splitting advertising fees in special promotions...it could literally encompass millions of ideas, depending on how creative you are and what you can offer to create a win-win solution to both parties.

Sixth, is to get your name out there. Local search, or business listings in your area, can be a valuable tool when people are looking for your business. Granted more and more businesses are jumping on this bandwagon, so make sure to include video, or pictures, to set your business apart from the rest of the pack.


Bonus: Be creative, by this I mean there are hundreds of ways to promote your business; one way is by having business cards with writing on the back to promote a discount or advertisement link for special promotions. Second, always utilize your email and URL in your ads and stationery. Third, is send out brochures, catalogs of your product to your email list, or people who have purchased from you in the past. Fourth, is create a signature tag, on all your posts and online correspondence. Fifth is to have a blog to communicate in an non-formal environment to communicate with potential customers and address issues that you may have resolved, let the world know. Finally, always offer more then is expected, and follow up with your customers to see if they have any questions, concerns...or ideas.
