Maruti Ritz becomes Siemens' guinea pigs for future electric cars
The Siemens company is presently working upon a new project that will support and
help them in analyzing the options and possibilities of electric cars for all markets in the coming future. The Siemens company observes that numerous electric cars will be seen on the roads in the coming time. This new project of the company is called 4-S, that is,4 Sustain Electro Mobilty. The project aims at studying the electric cars as well as their infrastructure. The project will also be concentrating on electric components. The new business models will also be developed and researched under this project This Siemens' project has been divided into three levels. The level 1 begins on 20th of November and it will concentrate upon the infrastructure. Similarly, the level 2 will begin in spring 2011 and it will concentrate on the driving point of view of these products by collecting all type of data. Then will come the stage three. It will be in fall of 2011 in which the electric products will be fitted with drive systems of the Industrial sector. This project of the company will be worked upon by the employees of the company at Munich & Erlangen. The inputs and conclusions achieved through this project will help Siemens develop certain novel electric components. The point to be noted is that the Suzuki Splash (Maruti Ritz) will be forming the base of this Siemens project. This Maruti model has gone electric and it will soon be tested by the employees of Siemens. The Maruti Ritz product is one of the most anticipated car from Maruti Suzuki. Maruti Ritz is placed in the A2 market segment which includes the other Maruti products like Maruti Alto, Maruti WagonR, Maruti Swift, Maruti Zen and also the newly introduced Maruti A-Star. In the development of Maruti Ritz, the engineers from Maruti Suzuki worked with their Japanese counterparts. Maruti Ritz is an impressive model with stylish design and superb technology.
