In India, Suzuki Motor Company entered with its subsidiary, Maruti Udyog limited, now known as Maruti Suzuki Limited. The two manufacturing plant of the company were established in Gurgaon and Manesar. Over the years, the Indian entity became most valuable and largest subsidiary of Suzuki Motors, producing 15 Brands in 150 variants including hatchback, sedan, van and coupe for both private and commercial use.

The popular brands of the company include, Maruti 800, Maruti SX4, Alto, WagonR, Ritz, Swift, Omni, Estilo, Gypsy, Ertiga, Eeco and other models. Other than Petrol and Diesel versions, Maruti Suzuki also produces CNG version. Since the rolling out of first India produced car, the company has manufactured record above 10 million vehicles as of 2011 -2012 and continued Indian made cars to overseas market.

Maruti Suzuki launched its SX4 Sedan in 2007, with the 1.6-litre gasoline engine without VVT but later upgraded it to the 1.6-litre engine with VVT. Maruti also introduced CNG version in 2010 and also a Diesel variant on17th Feb 2011.

Maruti Suzuki SX4 Green Vxi is a Luxury Sedan fitted with CNG 1.6L 4 Cylinder, VVT 1586cc Engine, powered by 104.7PS@5600rpm and equipped with Torque 145Nm.
