Maruti hopes to recapture over 50% market share in India

The market leader sold a total of 2,82,488 units of its cars during the April-July period

, which was as much as 47.68 per cent of the total car sales of 5,92,405 units during the same period. The company had managed to sell 2,33,811 units during the same period last year, which was about 53.13 per cent of the total market sales of 4,40,069 units during the same period.
