This variety is mainly identified as eye-ring species because of the noticeable ring around their eyes. They can interbreed since they are openly related although they are diverse species. Even so, it is recommended to separate a species from the others to sustain their innate appearance.
They have originated from the Africa continent, specifically from Northeastern Tanzania. Normally, masked lovebirds inhabit arid regions with trees and bushes which have nearby water. The masked lovebird could be a fine beginner bird being plausibly resilient, a willing breeder, easy to sustain and is inexpensive.
