Mathematics is a topic which every student must study while he/she is studying. This is a subject which is compulsory and so no student can get away with not studying it. Not everyone is able of doing mathematics; some students are good at it while others prefer doing other subjects such as English or maybe Geography. A general reason for a student to not want to do a certain subjects is because he/she does not like it or is not good at it.
The following are certain tips and guidelines which can help you in your mathematics coursework. It might not get you to like the subject but it might help you in understanding it better.
Any work which you have been given, do not leave it for the last minute. Work on it the moment you get it so that if you have difficulty, you could always approach your teacher and ask for help.
Plan ahead of time as to how you are going to go about doing your work.
Make sure that you finish your work and are able to hand it in by the given deadline.
The most important thing is that you make sure that you try your best. Do not do as much as you can and leave the rest. Put in your best effort; only then will you get the grade you deserve.
Math's coursework usually consists of:
A given problem
A method/methods which could be used to solve it
The result of that problem
The evaluation as to how and why you got that particular answer
Many of you probably have gotten an answer to a question which may be right; however you do not know how you arrived at it. Try understanding the method used to solve the question rather than going straight for the answer. This will help you out in other similar questions which you attempt.
