Mazda - From The Past To The Present

Buying a new car is often a difficult task because it is hard to know what kind of car works best for you

. Mazda has a great history of creating vehicles for every family and every walk of life. You can have the car of your dreams at an affordable price.

The company started in the 1920s as Toyo Cork Kogyo Company in Hiroshima, Japan with Jujiro Matsuda as its president originally as a company that created machine tools. During the next decade, the company constructed a new plant to produce vehicles with three wheels, which were then exported to China. In 1945, the United States dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, putting all manufacturing on hold. The Mazda Company ended up loaning part of their building to the plant. Later the offices were transferred there, and by the end of the 40s, they began exporting to India.

As much of the world was changing during the 1950s and 1960s, so was the Japanese auto industry as it introduced its first four-wheeled vehicle, a light truck. Within 2 years, the first passenger car was introduced, the R360 Coupe, followed by the B Series pick-up. During this time new plants were built in South Korea and South Africa and its first 4-door sedan was developed, the Carol 600, along with the Familia van, the E2000, the Proceed, the Bongo, and the Luce. The company then, together with Ford and Nissan, agreed to form JATCO.

The 70s saw much advancement for Mazda with the addition of the United States as an importer and the development of the Capella or RX-2 and Titan. It also saw the redesigned versions of the Familia van, RX-2, and the Capella. This decade ended with the corporate agreement with the Ford Motor Company.

As times and tastes changed, the 1980s saw the Japanese automaker redesign many of its popular vehicles to meet the new demands, as well as build new plants in North and South America so that it can be closer to its western customers. It was during this time that it also took on the name Mazda Motor Corporation.

?

As with any other motor company, it started researching safety features and environment saving advancements during the 1990s and designed many of its popular vehicles with both your family and environmental safety in mind. It experimented with a natural gas engine and won motorcar of the year award in Japan.

As technology continued to advance, the popular Japanese automaker recently released its small SUV Tribute, participated in test runs of fuel cells, and won several awards. It also recently celebrated its 25-year partnership with Ford Motor Company, which gave it access to the huge U.S. market.

Recently, Mazda introduced the new minivan in Japan and started testing and leasing various types of alternative fuel engines, making it one of the most fuel-efficient vehicle manufacturers in the world. With these amazing options, there is always a vehicle for you.
