There are many direct buses to Srinagar from Jammu. Lots of state owned buses (J&KSRTC) ply to Srinagar from Jammu in every 15 minutes. The bus ticket per seat is Rs 150 in this route. The bus journey from Jammu to Srinagar is the best for individual passengers and youngsters.

One can also travel from Jammu to Srinagar by car. Cabs are available on hire from the Jammu railway station and bus stand. As Srinagar has no rail routes, there are no railway lines to connect Jammu and Srinagar. There are plans to pave a railway track to connect Jammu to Srinagar.
