Selling Your Medford Home, Part 2: Effective Marketing Strategies


In part 1 of this series, I discussed how to set the price for your Medford home. This time around, Ill be talking about how to effectively market your home sell it for top dollar.

Effective real estate marketing is rarely what the public thinks. Generally, the only thing that comes to mind are the old standbys of real estate salespeople: open houses, yard signs, and newspaper ads. If your agent isnt doing at least a large amount of online marketing and some mailings to your local area, it might be time to find a new one.

In this buyers market, having a complete marketing plan is a key to a successful home sale. Online marketing is a major part of any marketing plan. In fact, over 90% of home buyers now say that the Internet is their main method of searching for a home. That means that relying on the old ways of doing business are only reaching 10% of the market at best.

An effective online marketing campaign also makes your home more desirable to buyers. By giving them the information they want online, you filter out the prospects who wouldnt be a good match for your home. After all, if someone doesnt want to buy a home in Medford, why show them your house at all?

By pre-qualifying your buyers, we weed out the tire kickers. So only the most interested and motivated prospective home buyers will see your house. That saves you a lot of time, effort and hassle.

Motivated buyers also tend to be more competitive, too. When they see a home they want to buy, they assume someone else must like it as well . So rather than waiting to see what the market does they tend to take action. That means a faster, easier, and more profitable home sale for you.


So when you interview Medford real estate agents, be sure to ask what their marketing plan for your home is.
