Reporting They provide the management feedback about the revenue cycle.
A medical coding and billing professional must be well versed in all these processes. Not just that, they must also know about human anatomy, physiology and diseases, medical terminology, health insurance rules and regulations, and CPT and ICD-9-CM standard medical codes. New recruits wont know all that, so the facility will have to arrange for adequate training of them.
Herein lies the problem. A healthcare facility is meant for providing medical care to the patients and not to conduct such training for something, which is not exactly related to their core job.
