Medical Entrance Exams Medical entrance exams are conducted for all the students who wish to get admission in medical college and make a career in medical field. These exams are conducted at national and state level. These exams help to get admission and degree of MBBS or BDS.

Besides these, there are other degrees like BHMS or BAMS etc. Students can appear for these medical entrance exams after their twelfth standard. In order to clear this exam you have to be thorough in the subjects like Biology, Chemistry and Physics. There are many medical entrance exams conducted all over India.

Some entrance exams under the category of medical entrance exams are described below:

All India Pre-Medical/ Pre-Dental Entrance Exam: These entrance exams help the individuals to get admission in the best medical colleges in India. The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi conducts this exam. A candidate is given three attempts to clear this entrance exam. These exams are conducted every year in the month of April and May.

AICEE: All India Common Entrance Examination: This entrance exam is conducted by the Veterinary Council of India. These entrance exams are for securing admission to the first year Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) and Animal Husbandry (AH) degree course. This entrance exam is held every year in the month of May. This exam is basically conducted by the Veterinary Council of India for filling up 15 % seats.

PMT: Medical entrance tests of Indian states: This State Medical Entrance Exam is conducted in all the states of India. These exams are conducted with domicile restrictions. This entrance exam consists of objective type questions related to the subject such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. These questions are of the standard twelfth level.

MH-CET- Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Medical: This combined Common entrance Exam is conducted by the Government Maharashtra for health sciences such as MBBS and MDS. The merit list of this exam is used for securing admission in the government aided colleges, government colleges providing health science degree courses. Students who have given their HSC exams and want to start their career in Medical Sciences will have to appear for this entrance exam held in Maharashtra.

AFMC- Armed Forces Medical College Entrance Exam: Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) is a premier institute of medical science in India. It is recognized by the Medical Council of India. This entrance exam is conducted by the AFMC for giving admission to one thirty students out of which one hundred and five seats are for the boys and twenty five seats are for girls.

BHU-Banaras Hindu University - PMT: This pre medical test is conducted by the BHU for admission to various Bachelor medical courses such as B Pharm, BAMS, MBBS, and BDS. Many students apply for the medical courses in BHU. The seats are very limited and hence the competition is very intense. It provides good facilities, infrastructure and excellent faculty to its medical students. In order to get admission in this university, the students have to work very hard.
