The Galveston Pleasure Pier is a $60 million dollar venture by Landry's Inc

. owner Tilman Fertita. With designs to open up the pier on Memorial Day, May 28th, Fertita hopes the pier may take on Coney Island's Luna Park, Chicago's Navy Pier, and the Santa Monica Pier. The 1,200 foot pier is proudly located on 25th and Seawall at the previous site of Flagship Hotel that was destroyed by Hurricane Ike in 2008. The pier will have 16 rides and is going to include the tallest ride in Texas.
