Menopause, Hot-Flashes - Why?

There's no specific day and time when menopause will strike. Oh but all those hot-flashes, near fainting spells, and sick stomach. I haven't really researched menopause or found out exactly why it happens, why the hot flashes, and why, in general do woman face menopause.
First lesson, do your research. Reading this article will hopefully get you interested in learning more about menopause. After finally doing my own research I realized there are certain species of women who die not long after their years of reproducing are over, yet other species survive.

Menopause comes with a lot of symptoms. It's not a comfortable time in the life of many women. You get tired, lethargic actually, almost as if you have the dreaded "falling asleep" problem, lol. It's not really so funny, I'm just making light of what can be a down-right uncomfortable time in your life. I should know. I'm experiencing menopause right this moment. I'm not feeling faint, I'm not sick right now, but I do know I have every symptom of menopause and have certainly been diagnosed as such.
This isyour"time of life" as grand mother termed it when I was young and she herself was experiencing menopause.
"That's when you'll be the woman that God intended you to be Kathryn!", she said emphatically. Grand ma was a dear, darling gem of awoman but on this day Grand manearly frightened me with her statements, "time of life" and "You'll be the woman God intends you to be?" I was a bit too young to understand what the "Woman God intendedyou to be", what that had to do with pain, hot-flashes, being tired, or otherwise sick.
Grandma meant well.
Now I suppose I'm the woman God intended me to be. I'm older, wiser, calmer, but I'm sicker than a puppy on the days that my menopause hits me hard. Why menopause? Only God knows I suppose, at least in Grandmas view, and now as a researcher of science and health, I have to ask myself, are there specific reasons for menopause? Yes of course there are specific reasons for menopause? A womans body, in her aging process, loses it's capacity to reproduce, therefore her hormone levels change and in many cases reduce to dangerous levels.
Please, if you have menopause, or suspect you're going through menopause, please visit your physician. There may be a specific remedy or
prescription drugs that you can take to help reduce the ill-feelings.
