When an individual starts to become interested in golf there is a certain amount of expense incurred

Most of the summer wear is made with synthetic materials. These seem to meet all of the needs that are required by the serious golfer. There is no doubt that much of the golf clothing can be purchased in your bargain basement type sales. However if you want the newness to remain in your clothing and it to look fashionable then buying your high quality name brand is well worth the initial investment. Your clothing depicts who you are and what you are about, and no doubt you want to look well dressed while on the course. It also has to be remembered that many of the golf courses are by memberships and have quite an elite golf club that one participates in. Therefore the golf clothing has to be not only functional but fit in to looking as a well dressed casual outfit.

Just as the game of golf is not a new sport neither are the clothing's that are applicable to this sport. In fact the clothing for golf goes back as far as the 1500's. At this time the rage was the tweeds and woolens. This was because it was most often a game of sport in Britain and the weather demanded this type of dress. However nowadays with the new materials this is no longer an issue as the silks and lighter materials are often the number one choice.

If one really wants to get a good idea of the best type of dress when playing a game of golf, watching a few of the pro's play in there tournaments and paying particular attention to their line of clothing will give good guidelines as to what seems to be the best for the greens.
