Mensur Boydas Lecture On Management Thought

Management thought is the main idea here of believing

, trying and accomplishing the real according to your own judgment. Our thinking and actions are limited to such point that noticing of failure. A managers job is often embraces altering your employees attitudes and behavior. Effective managers consider the following principles when it is necessary to change attitudes or behaviour: the benefits to the other person, what it is you want, what the other person really wants, benefits that person will receive. Developing self-confidence is done by doing the things you fear and get a record of successful experiences behind you. Throughout the discussions in the class we have quite made it to the solution of the problems but in the case of Bartleby the suggestions by the class could not get the problem solved. You cannot try to motivate someone if the person does not want to nor has no excitement in any way to life he lives in. These kinds of scenarios leave the managers at the end of their limits of capability.

In this life individuals have their own responsibilities to themselves or to loved ones. Every behavior is triggered by motives, causes, or goals. We exposure to the behaviors of individuals in this life but have no idea about the motives, causes or goals driving that behavior. This evaluation surprised me out that an extraction of individual behavior would be this much realistic. As I said before one of the main duties of managers is altering behaviors that is not so easy to accomplish because no one wants to be altered in any way. Manipulation of behaviors could only be done by using strong people skills such as; calling attention to peoples mistakes indirectly, asking questions instead of direct orders, and using encouragement. In the second quarter of the classes the discussions unfortunately could not get into the core concept of the stories. Most of the time readings were not well related to business environment by the class members that showed itself in the discussions that leaded to dead ends or infinitely possible solutions.

The film The Corporation pretty much revealed everything about the businesses. Greed is the main aim of the corporations and mentioned in the purpose that profit maximization. Yes, maximizing the profit is the main purpose of organizations even if it causes important jeopardizes. Why we are so greedy and hard to stop it? It is simply human nature that wants more and more of everything. It is all about controlling your own essence. Essence tries to control human behaviors and one of the main challenges of the messengers of God was controlling the essence. Essence can only be controlled by spiritual strength and belief.

Extraction of the worlds natural resources tremendously continuing like it is not limited. Which we know of recourses are limited and our life depends on them. The future is not really brilliant for the next generations; pollution, disappearance of nature and animals, simply we are altering the biosphere. Human creature is the authority on the earth and if any one of the endangered species had a say that would be Damn You. You are not a good authority at all; this world is the result of your greed. We should be ashamed of what we have done to the planet.

One of the main jobs of managers is to not destroy the spirit in the employees. Destroying the spirit in them is a total failure and will lead to negative consequences for both employees and organizations perspective. The Ex-Champion Nailer is a really good example of this scenario that Louie is de-skilled after the arrival of the nailing machines. The discussions headed mainly to hire the nailer and after the arrival of the machines, giving him another challenge because he is motivated by challenges and has a pretty good success rate. Understanding your employees is crucial in terms of decision making. Solving is an issue of problems as well as seeing what the problem is. We need to begin to question things from another angle. Our intellectual, internal emotional circumstances, rational directions, and conventional biases often sort our insights of other peoples behaviors. Our morals, thoughts and positions often intervene what we notice and fail to notice, determining the acknowledgment we make to clarify an experience or a connection.
