. This is said to be the largest and longest running film festival in Philippines. It was established in 1975. This festival has been contributing greatly to aware public and making them support new talent. MMFF has played the role of a platform for the Filipino film industry and it gave the roots for the establishment of Manila International Film Festival organized by then First Lady Imelda Marcos in 1982 at Manila Center that attracted Manila flights from different parts of the globe. This event is organized by Manila Cultural center. The entries do not only invite films but it also covers animation, documentary, kids, and short films. The awards night at this fare is divided into three parts, entrance of the stars, awarding ceremony, and Katy the Musical. The most awarded actor is Christopher De Leon. The event attracts a large number of flights to Manila from UK and other global destinations.
