Migration between Mexico and the United states is finally beginning to take a healthy and much sought after pattern

. Multitudes of Mexicans are now legally crossing over to the United States to search for employment and they can now go back to their country with confidence that they can be able to come back to the US without a lot of problems. As much as illegal migration from Mexico has diminished, the number of immigrants who come in to the United States from Mexico has grown significantly. These immigrants now have the correct papers and hence the government is well aware of the number of immigrants who are coming in to the country from Mexico.

There are a number of reasons as to why illegal migration from Mexico to the United States has significantly gone down. This is because it has become so risky to enter into the United States illegally and the costs that are incurred through illegal immigration are also high. Due to more legal immigrants coming into the country, the demand for labor in the U S has significantly gone down and it is feared that with time, there will be no job opportunities in the country. The labor force in Mexico has also gone down significantly as more of her citizens are opting to move to the United States and seek employment there.

It is estimated that there are over 10 million illegal immigrants in the United States and over half of that percentage are Mexicans. However, this number has not increased in quite some time because now, there are more immigrants moving in from Mexico, but most of them are actually moving in legally as opposed to how they moved in some time ago. Mexicans are steadily moving in to the United States but this time round they are coming in legally to seek for employment.

Mexicans are moving into the US not only for employment purposes but a large number of them also move into the country in order to join some of their relatives who are now legal citizens of the United States.

There are some laws which do not favor immigrants whether legal or illegal but some measures have been taken in order to ensure that once such immigrants become legal US citizens through naturalization, they can enjoy rights just like the original citizens. In the present day, more than a quarter of permanent residents in the United States gained access to the country as relatives of individuals who were already citizens.

Since immigration can not be halted between these two countries, it is important for these countries to find ways in which they can manage immigration both in and out. This will ensure that none of them suffer either way by losing or gaining excess immigrants.
