In all likelihood Microsoft Office for iPad will be launched on November 10

,2012. According to the latest reports Microsoft claims it is all set to launch Office for iPad and there are many news outlets that have been reporting a similar timeline. Some of the leading news outlets such as The Daily have claimed that the date for the launch has been fixed on 10th November. However, there still remains a doubt on the exact launch date because there exists different speculations on whether it will be 10th or 12th November. While The Daily claims the date to be 10th November, as per the sources of Business Insider, Microsoft Office for iphone development will be introduced at Microsoft SharePoint conference in Las Vegas, which starts from 12th November.

The suite is being launched specifically during this specific timeline is because of the upcoming holiday season and it is believed that many would be keen on buying the Microsoft Office Suite for their iPads. As per the sources, it is believed that Microsoft will be starting the volume licensing at the start of 2013. Since it is being launched during the holiday season, Microsoft does hope there will be an increase in demand for Office suite for iPad. This would also facilitate demand for iphone application development.

There have also been other news outlets that have reported similar regarding the launch of Microsoft Office fro iPad. There are some who claim 12th November is the launch date while others claims that 10th November is the launch date. The Daily and BGR have reported news to this effect regarding the release of Microsoft Office.

With everyone reporting on the launch date, it seems most viable that Microsoft Office will be launched end of this year and that would benefit Microsoft due to the launch during the holiday season.

Microsoft has largely been dependent on Windows and Office and these two have been the major cash cows for Microsoft. There is also the opinion that selling Microsoft Office for iPad may result in Windows losing out to Apple where tablet as a product is concerned. But then on the other hand, Microsoft will earn a lot of revenue on Office for iPad and Microsoft is aware that it cannot afford to neglect this market. Another aspect that Microsoft is better off developing and launching Office for iPad is the fact that if the only feature that makes Windows tablet popular is the presence of Office, then Microsoft is as it is going to end up in a soup.

Hence, it is any day more advantageous for Microsoft Office to launch Office suite for iPad, which would be launched in November 10th or 12th. Presently, it is believed that the Office development and design team has already finished working on the application. The application is now at a stage where the usability team of Microsoft is making sure the application has Metro Compliance. If the team feels, work needs to be done then changes will be suggested to the design team. Overall, as of now the date slated for the release of Microsoft Office for iPad is 12th November in all probability.
