Military Dating Advice: Spottiing The Commitment Issues

You already know that you are ready to commit

You already know that you are ready to commit. But how would you know if your military single is ready to commit also? Should you bring out the tarot cards or a crystal ball? Or maybe consult a gypsy or palm readers or psychic friends online?

The good news is that you don't have to go to the mystic side to know what your army single thinks about commitment. The not-so-good news is that you have to have eagle eyes to spot whether he is commitment-ready or not.

So take out your magnifying glass and fine-tooth comb and let's go through the motions:

1. See what his attitude is towards family, friends, and faith. Alright, so you know he is an army single; most often than not, he is engaged in some sort of terrible violence in varying degrees. But thankfully, most military singles have guarded themselves from being jaded by all the hate.

Now, you need to see if he mentions his family, friends, and faith in a good way. If he mentions his family and friends often in a nice and positive way, that is an indication that he gives value to the people in his life.

By the mere mention of them, it indicates that he is not afraid to bond and connect with people, and that he is most likely to create lasting relationships.

Whether or not he mentions his faith is very important. This is because you need to know if he still believes in a higher power, and is still perceptive to love and hope, then that's a good indication that he is more open to love, despite the harsh realities he has to see everyday.

2. The mention of the C: Children. This is one of the topics that many guys are hesitant to discuss.

So try to see if he speaks about his nieces or nephews or younger siblings or younger cousins (assuming he has some), or the children of his friends. If he does speak about them, and speaks about them in a positive way, then most probably, your guy is open to the subject of having kids in his near future.

This is good since it shows that he is thinking of starting a family of his own, and that he would also most likely go for a serious relationship!

Also, once you feel comfortable enough, you can ask him if one day he wants to ask kids. If his answer is "Definitely, yes" or some other variations to the affirmation of the question, then that's good. If he answers "NO" or a vague "MAYBE" then give him a small amount of time to get used to the idea.

3. Check out the E: ETHICS. And no, ethics is not equal to religion.

Try to see what his moral values are, and how he feels about them. Studies reveal that men who have a good and outstanding moral code are more likely to commit to a woman, compared to those who don't have them.

Besides, if church and faith, and things like praying, reading the Bible, and going to church, are a big and important part of you, then of course, it would be very advantageous if those things are important to him too.
