Customer Review:

If you already have a 28-V tools, Milwaukee (battery and charger), the vacuum is a great addition to your collection.

Pros: HEPA filter, easy to carry, good suction, good time on a single charge.

Cons: Specifications replacement filter part number is not described in the instructions, debris can be difficult to open the chamber.

I bought this vacuum cleaner for quick clean-room parrot. Regular wired vacuums really scare my bird: the final line seems to be the cause of their innate fear of snakes. The vacuum cleaner is much less traumatic!

Milwaukee cordless vacuum 28 V - wonderful - can't rate high enough

I can't rate this high enough. It has revolutionized my vacuuming. We have a large dog that sheds which makes keeping house clean difficult.

We also have a small old house (with lots of character, IMO so we love it). Small means furniture, cabinets, chairs, etc. can be a bit crowded if you try to maximize your space. Old means lots of corners with woodwork especially the baseboards that are a bit grungy where we haven't "remodeled" yet. Also, grunge accumulates a lot quicker if you don't vacuum frequently.

My current vacuum which is a Miele cannister is small because I wanted to be able to maneuver in our small space. But still not maneuverable enough. Seems like I still really "fight" the cable and hose trying to get in the corners and underneath and behind things. I like the Miele and don't plan to get rid of it but I knew I needed more.

So my new process now involves using the Miele for the floor (which is mostly hardwood with a few rugs) and for the "middles" as [...] calls it. THEN I bring out this Milwaukee cordless and use for all the little pockets of dog hair that often accumulate in corners and along the floor rim of cabinets that sit directly on the floor. It is very good for underneath chairs and desks and couches but my Miele isn't too bad there also since it is relately small (and lightweight). It is the corners and along the baseboards that this cordless vacuum really shines (and also great behind chairs that I don't want to move).

I agree with the poster that said it needs a wand especially if you use it for housework. The hose is too short and flimsy so now I have to bend low. I wish that poster would have said where to get the wand. Guess I will contact Milwaukee.

The cons are that this is rather bulky. Of course I wish the main compartment was smaller and lighter but guess I have to wait for them to invent upgrades. It is kludgy to carry but with no cord, that goes a long way in making up for the kludginess. Also, yes it is expensive when you tack on the battery and charger that isn't included in the main price on Amazon, at least when I bought it. I love cordless so much that I went ahead and bought the tool kit of 3 or 4 cordless tools that came with the charger and a couple of batteries now on sale for $699 on Amazon. Yes, I have spent a lot but I think I would have spent $699 just for the cordless vacuum if it means my house will be cleaner.

Yes, I agree with other posters that the hinges and case surrounding the vacuum have a cheap feel. Still doesn't change my mind that this is WONDERFUL. I just hope it doesn't break on me as others have reported. I've used it maybe half a dozen times so far with no problem yet. Crossing my fingers. I would be extremely disappointed. I'll report back if something breaks.

In the meantime, I don't want to forget to rave about the power. I got the 28V because I read where the charge lasts longer. I have nothing to compare to but I haven't had a problem with the charge not lasting but I rarely keep it on for more than a couple minutes at a time (it is noisy) and I don't vacuum my whole house in one process but tend to break it up doing half on one day and the other half the next day so I'm not a good person to ask about length of charge but it is definitely good enough for my use. (1700 sq ft house)

The power may be the best part. This is no wimpy vacuum. It has full power and seems to suck (in a good way) just as good as my Miele (which wasn't cheap either.)
