Mind Control In The Dream

In the latest film by Christopher Nolan, Inception

, it is about planting seeds of ideas in a persons thinking and let it grow into a full bloom notion.

According to a Wikipedia post bookmarked at Tinkrbox, a video/website bookmarking stie, Inception was developed on the notion of exploring the idea of people sharing a dream space, giving you the ability to access somebodys unconscious mind. What would that be used and abused for? Christopher thought that being able to extract information from somebodys brain would be the obvious use, or misuse of the technology, because obviously any other system where its computers or physical media, things that exist outside the mind can be stolen, except for the ideas within the mind. Nolan took a long time re-writing the script in order to make sure the emotional journey of his character was the driving force of the movie.

According to a website bookmarked at Tinkrbox, Inception is in essence, a mind control movie, and the techniques used in this movie to aid mind control are alternate realities, spinning top, spiral, false memory, breaking a mirror, labyrinth and chess pieces. The idea is that the subconscious mind is opened up in the dream, and subliminal message can be planted within the mind.

It is known that ideas are always spawned from other ideas. A well known phrase dont think of elephants will lead the listener to think of elephants instead. This is the technique used in Inception to plant ideas in to the subjects.

The idea spawned from Inception is brilliant indeed, perhaps this technology will be available in the future?
