Mines Wonderland: The Perfect Family Night Out

A 35 minute drive from the city of Kuala Lumpur will bring you to a destination that

is ideal for a family night out! Mines Wonderland, Night Theme Park in Seri Kembangan opens from 5pm to 11pm on weekends and public holidays and from 6pm to 11pm on weekdays with the exception of Mondays.

The park was initially the largest open cast tin mine in the world. Today the mine is a 150acre lake that has water taxis and cruises amongst other attractions such as the ice factory, train rides, vintage cars, musical fountains, cultural shows and restaurants.

The open air musical theatre has a capacity of 4000 spectators whilst incorporating light, musical and water shows that are amongst the must see attractions. The Musical Fountain dances magically to the beat of the music creating a wonderful sight. There are two shows during the week and three shows during public holidays and weekends.

The lake provides many entertaining activities. Water skiing and wakeboarding satisfy the slightly adventurous whilst the water taxi will take you on a cruise allowing you to enjoy the cool breeze, the scenery of the parks surroundings and the pretty lights that adorn the dinosaur, swan and dolphin calming your senses and adding a sense of aura to this splendid park. There is also fine beach of pristine white sand that is a favorite amongst sun bathers both young and old.

The main attraction at the park is most definitely the ice factory. This spans over 10,000 square feet with temperatures between -10 C to -15 C, this is the first winter wonderland in Malaysia.

The park also has an array of animals. Some animals are in live form whilst others are in stone. The animal kingdom is a fun filled educational experience to many children. The park houses a few rare animals such as an endangered white Bengal tiger, peacocks, swans and a macaw bird.
