After attending a successful course by American Heart Association, one gets a certification card that is valid for two years. The American Red Cross also offers a card to successful CPR trainees but their card is not as widely accepted as that offered by the AHA and is valid for only one year. The American Safety and Health Institute certification is the best choice for professionals not in the medical field.

After you have decided what CPR class you want to attend, then there comes the stage where you have to choose the best class. You are investing both your money and time, so seek the class that will offer a card that will serve you longest. After all, most of the Minneapolis CPR classes that will offer a card valid for only a short time will charge the same fees, if not more, than those that will give a card valid for a longer time.
