Mixing Tracks

In my earlier days when I used to work on Virtual DJ my music teacher introduced me to a computer program called Acid Pro

. Back then it was Acid Pro 2 I think, they are up to 7 now. For months I was been glued to my dads computer and used to mix tracks. My tracks never used to have vocals or lyrics but I used to use clips from movies, videos and what not. They were basically small mixes with my disorganized and abstract styling. I used to mixes around 30 to 40 clippings a day. It drew my interest completely. I started using other programs as well and I used to pick up or you can say learn all the technicalities really well and fast. But being talented in other areas too, I never could put my 100% to it. Being into a small school too I couldnt have much exposure as I should have. My parents used to force me into all the groups possible like Spanish club, science club, math, impromptu, extempore, drawing, tennis etc. I realized music did weird things to my brain. Sometimes I used to love it, am obsessed with it and couldnt go a minute without thinking about it. Other times it delivered nothing but frustration. It came and it went. After my school I couldnt carry it further due to my college and my dad always expected me to join him in his business. I got out of touch completely.


A month ago I met a really close friend from back those days that apparently saved all my mixes. That was a pleasant surprise for me. She burnt me a disc with the survivors on it. Listening to them I decided to get back into it but this time I was using a program called Fruity Loops. I started using the demo version for a start. And then I inserted that burnt disc in my CD drive and it didnt run. My computer wasnt reading the CD. First I thought the CD is having some problem so for checking I inserted another CD which was a MP3 and it was the same case with it also. I felt so helpless. After 8 long years I tried pursuing my dream and on the first step I got this obstacle. It was not only discouraging but disgusting too.


So I goggled my problem and the first result was iYogis forums. There has been described this problem with reasons and description. I also found that many people faced this problem which iYogi solved. I could see the list of the delighted customers. I followed the instructed steps as provided and after half n hour I managed to run that CD in my drive. That was again and encouraging aspect of my experience. I was another satisfied customer added to the list. I could now again start my mixing and can compose song.
