. MLM professionals are no exception. You are the master of your domain when it comes to MLM success, and every minute you are not working, you are probably thinking about work. How is your downline doing? When did you get your last recruit? How can you increase your numbers? It can be helpful to connect with other MLM professionals and a great place to bounce ideas around, get questions answered, and find useful reviews of products, services and training are MLM forums.

A forum is simply a message board or discussion site. You sign up, create a user name, and can post comments or questions to the board. You can also reply to the comments and questions that others have posted. Forums are places where people with similar interests get together and discuss important topics. Many people find tips, tricks and best practices on forums for free that would have cost them hundreds of dollars in training.

Forums are good for newbies, but they can create an overflow of information, so proceed with caution. When you are first trying to get your MLM business off the ground, it can be tempting to hop onto forums and see what others are saying, and ask questions at 2 am because it's too late to call your sponsor, but forums can be a time waster. It's easy to get lost in a thread or two or ten. More experienced MLM professionals who have a better handle on time management and their business might benefit more from forums.

Forums are also a great place to connect with people. You may meet other MLM professionals online and develop strategic partnerships and real friendships. You may meet people who live in your town who you can connect with in real life. Some people have started their own weekly network marketing groups based off of relationships struck up on an MLM forum.

It is important to always follow internet etiquette when posting in forums. Before posting a question, always search the forum. People get annoyed with newbies who ask the same question as the previous 200 newbies before him. Before you start your own thread, respond to a few other threads. Get your user name out there so people know who you are and know you aren't a spammer. Which leads us to the big one: do not spam the forum. Don't drop your pitch on every thread you click. Forums aren't the place for recruiting.

MLM forums can be a great place for learning, sharing and growing in your business. Take the time to learn the ropes and follow the etiquette, and you can take full advantage of all cyberspace has to offer.
