Mlm Prospecting, Why I Hate Mlm Prospecting

My least favorite thing about my MLM opportunity is prospecting for new members of my down-line

. I absolutely hate facing the rejection. I hate the look on peoples face when they realize I am about to try and tell them about my MLM opportunity. Anyone that has been in our business for more than five minutes knows exactly what I am talking about.

If my good friend that helped me get started in my MLM business had of told me all of the details about prospecting I would probably still be sitting on the side lines but for her it is no big deal, nothing seems to slow her down and she has done very well with her MLM business. But I figured out very quickly that I was going to have to do something else or I would become one of the failure statistics.

To avoid being a statistic I decided that I was going to have to run my MLM business like any real business and real business owners do not go around Starbucks or the mall trying to get people to come to their store one by one.

I do have good news thought MLM Prospecting does not have to be hard or involve face to face rejection. In order to be successful you are going to have to learn that you can"t be needy and you can"t care if a person joins your down-line or not. If done correctly you will have enough prospects that you really will not care but it is going to take time and work.

Which scenario is more attractive to you?

Scenario 1: You go out and prospect 10 different people each day for your MLM opportunity.

Scenario 2: You have 10 people call/email you telling you that they are interested in your MLM business.

I personally like Scenario 2. I don"t have to stop 10 random people on the street and ask them if they like their JOB. I don"t have to see the look in those 10 people"s eyes as they try to figure out how to get away from me as quickly as possible. With scenario 2 you are going to save a ton of time and hurt feelings. I can teach you how to build a MLM prospecting system that can be duplicated by your down-line.

Before we go on we need to talk about one of the biggest rules for MLM prospecting. What do you think your prospect is interested in? Do they care about how long the company has been around? Do they really care about your product? NO! What where you most interested in when you joined your MLM opportunity? Most likely the answer is MONEY and your prospects are no different so you have to show them how to achieve their goal weather that is paying off debt or having their spouse not have to work anymore.

So the first thing you have to do is STOP selling your prospect on the company! You need to start selling them on how YOU can help them once they have joined your MLM opportunity. You are going to need to create a blue print that shows how your team is different than all of the other teams out there. That is what a MLM prospect is really looking for, why should I join your group and not that group.

You really need to different in order to draw your MLM prospects to you. Then you are going to need to show them how working with you is going to lead to their MLM success. You are going to have to stop being one of those really annoying sales people that preaches about the company and instead explain how you can help your prospect to meet their MLM goals.
