Mobile Phone Abuse: An Important Issue !

, mobile phones also lead to violence. They allow people to communicate regardless of the location or time and give rise to security concerns. So mobile phones create nuisance for others and also for you. If you are trying to concentrate on concentrate on something or you are busy in a meeting and suddenly your phone rings, your work or meeting is interrupted. Mobile phone abuse is a worldwide wave affecting millions of people with no relief in sight.

There are a lot of situations where you consider yourself as the victim of mobile phone abuse. For example, you are in a public place with someone and a person near you is talking loudly on his phone. If the call is short, its bearable but if its a never ending call, your attention is distracted and you feel irritated and annoyed.

If the abuser is interrupted by the victim and asked kindly to take their call elsewhere, the victim is all too often met with an annoying look. So you, as a victim are not able to concentrate on your conversation and would wish if the other person would finish his call fast.

Certain guidelines which should be followed by everyone to bring an end to mobile phone abuse are:

While you are engaged in a conversation, keep in mind that that there are people near you. So maintain a distance from others or lower your voice.

Dont take calls while you are involved in a face to face conversation with few exceptions.

Avoid calls in hospitals, offices, theatres, etc. Change your ringtone to a quiet ringer or vibrator while in such places or while in a meeting.

Think before giving your mobile number to anyone.

You should try to follow the mobile phone etiquettes and treat yourself as you yourself wish to be treated.
