Mobile Phone Battery Life Claims Close, Why Can't PC Companies Be Honest?

I would sure love it if every notebook that I put my hands on came within 20% of its stated battery life in real world scenarios

. There are too many variables to count when trying to figure out how quickly an average user drains a notebook battery, while it's pretty straight forward to measure talk time. I'm not sure what the perfect answer is, but there's got to be a better solution than the benchmarks that are now the industry standard.
