They fulfil functions like calendars, calculators, even location finders, as technology gets better and better. Anything to everything can practically be achieved via these inventions. The list is never-ending to the capabilities of a handset. They have practically become an inseparable part of daily routine. We cannot imagine a day without the security of our little handset somewhere within accessible reach.

Most of the credit for these achievements in the field of mobiles goes to the companies like Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, and Sony Ericsson and so on. The intense commercial competition between them pushes them to keep re-inventing the technology to come out with increasingly better phones at surprisingly affordable prices. Service providers come out with better mobile deals to offer, practically every few weeks! They thus allow ownership of cell phones to be practical and economical for everybody. But these phones have their drawbacks of harmful radiations, so they must be used judiciously not abused.
