The time when a new gadget or handset is introduced in the market many of us want to avail the services of that gizmo. However, we are deprived of that due to a fear of changing in our number. In this case, plan does not matter because the up gradation to a new mobile phone can be done by entering into a new contract with the same plan and the number. One of the main important things of using the service of phone upgradation is users need to have same mobile operator. Generally, it has seen that operators give these new phones at a subsidized rate or for free. Users also have a option to go for a new plan. Due to having a tough competition in the mobile phone market, various operators are customizing their deals and plans in such a manner that they can lure more customers and increase their market base.

Users can also go for phone updgradation if they change the contract with the same network provider and move to a new one after the plan has ended as distinct plans comprise of different schemes and packages. However, it is not mandatory to change the number each time if user jumps to a new contract. A user can keep the number and still do the upgrade to a new plan if he/she doesn't want to hop to a new service provider. And in case if he changes the plan, a new mobile phone may also come along with it for free or in subsidized rates.
