To install Grohe kitchen faucet you have to first turn off the hot and cold water from under the sink either from the shut off valves below your sink or the main water supply where it enters your home. Now place a pan or bucket below the faucet so that water is trapped into it. Disconnect the supplies between the existing faucet and the shut-off valve with the help of a basic wrench.
Twist the hex nuts to the left, loose them and the line should be disconnected from the faucet. At the top of your sink slide your Grohe kitchen faucet into the hole. If there is any supply lines attached, feed them through the hole so to fall below the sink. From under the sink, now screw new faucet in place using fasteners provided by Grohe.
New Grohe kitchen faucet should now be connected to the water supply line. Care should be taken to keep the hot and the cold supply lines on the desired sides. Use the adjustable wrench and tighten the compression nuts at the end of each supply line to connect the faucet. Use your hand and twist off the aerator. Adjustable wrench can be used if it is very tight. Now turn on the water supply under the sink and the Grohe kitchen faucet and the water starts flowing. In order to flush out the debris the water should be allowed to run for two/three minutes and thereafter the Grohe kitchen faucet can be turned off. Now twist back the aerator to the end of the faucet and the installation job is complete.
It may be noted that Grohe kitchen faucet cartridges are replaceable. If kept in proper cleaning condition, these cartridges can be used for more than 20 years. These cartridges are soaked in a mixture containing 10% vinegar and 90% water for over one hour to clean. Scrub the cartridge with soft toothbrush or scouring brush before placing in the faucet. Before maintaining the Grohe kitchen faucet, the main supply of water should be turned off. There is a heavy pressure of water with over 1000F temperature. If the main supply of water is not turned off, there will be a risk of burning while doing maintenance work.
