Mon Abudu, inspiring Africa the land of black skinned man


Mon Abudu is famously known as Monsunmola Abudu. She was born in 1964 in September in Hammersmith Hospital in London. She is the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Akintude. Her family relocated to Lagos in Nigeria when she was just 7 years old. She was reared up by her grandparents who were the farmers of cocoa beans. Here in Ondo State where she used to live with her grand mother she was introduced to her native culture and background of Africa. It was somehow very challenging to her to take up this culture but she showed her talent and dressed her with the culture.

She first went to Fiwasaye Girls grammar School at the age of 11. But in the age of 12 she lost her father and returned to UK and took admission in Hamersmith Country Secondary School. After one year she went to Ridgeway School. Mon Abudu did her graduation from West Kent College and then from Mid Kent college. She completed her post Graduation from the University of Westminster in HR Management. From this time she gradually trained herself as an extremely ambitious woman and tried in various field.

Mon Abudu set her voyage of professional career in 1987 as a recruiting consultant in Atlas Recruitment Consultancy. Then she was hired by famous Starform to manage the celebrated exhibition named Corporate Credit Management Exhibition from 1990 to 1992. She succeeded in this challenging target. Then in 1993 she went to Nigeria and was hunted by Arthur Andersen for ExxonMobil as a head of their Human Resource and Training sector. In 2000, she left ExxonMobil to start VLA. While running VLA successfully as a Managing Director, she commissioned Protea Hotel, Oak wood in the year of 2004. This is the biggest achievement in her whole career.

Mon Abudu is also a caring and loving mother. She has a daughter of 16 years old and a son of 10 years old. She always gives priority to her family.
