Most of these websites give you options when it comes to making your choice. For example, you can do a nationwide search, a statewide search, or a search with a zip code and radius. If you are buying local (you intend to pickup the purchase yourself), your search radius should be how far you are willing to drive. If you dont mind having an item mailed to you, you can do a nationwide Craigslist search or a nationwide search on another classified website.

Search Multiple Times a Day: Really!

Whether you want to search all of Craigslist or all of Craigslist and thousand of other websites at once, you are going to get a lot of hits. However, so are other deal seeking consumers. By activating alerts by email, you will be sent an email whenever a new item that meets your search criteria appears on Craigslist.org or another classified website. Alerts arent needed but they can drastically cut down your search time.
