Morgellons - A Bizarre Disease That Ruins Lives
White, red, blue, and black balls of fibers growing out of sores that won't heal
sounds like something out of a science fiction movie, but this is a day to day reality for patients with Morgellons disease. Scientists and doctors don't really know what causes Morgellons. In fact, many patients are misdiagnosed for many years before finding out they have this horrible condition. In addition to the non-healing skin lesions, patients experience symptoms including fatigue, cognitive problems, memory loss, joint and/or muscular pain, and the sensation that there are creepy, crawly animals under their skin biting, clawing, stinging, and scratching them. Many have reported seeing "critters" and other debris come out of their bodies.
In addition to these symptoms, and sometimes as a result of them, some patients also experience emotional issues. Depression and suicidal tendencies are high in Morgellons patients. These Morgellons sufferers are often ostracized because of the open sores and strange filaments protruding from them. The neurological problems can also cause them to be misunderstood. Many Morgellons patients report being diagnosed as having "Delusions of Parasitosis" or DOP. The disease is contagious, meaning that whole families sometimes contract this illness. The Morgellons Research Foundation states that over 14,000 families in the United States report that they have this infectious disease. However, because these are self-reporting numbers and misdiagnoses are often, this number may be very low. We estimate that there are over 100,000 Morgellons families in the USA alone and millions more internationally.
In the USA, the majority of families reporting this disease were in California, Texas, and Florida, although California had the highest concentration. Because of this, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been conducting a study of Morgellons patients in Northern California. This study is in progress and has not yielded conclusive results as yet. Patients report that they believe it is a parasite-based illness and have reported wormlike tunneling visible under the skin. They also have reported small wormlike creatures coming out of the lips, eyes, nasal passages and scalp. Symptoms of this disease have been seen in adults, children, and even pets, which supports the parasite theory.
Some families have found some temporary and minor symptom relief through antibiotics, antiparasitics, and antibacterial medicines. Others have reported vast improvement and visible parasites exiting the body with the taking of a breakthrough natural mineral colloidal silver supplement (ordinary colloidal silver has little or no effect on Morgellons). They show healed skin lesions and claim cognitive and memory function is completely normal again. The time varies from person to person, but most Morgellons sufferers experience their lesions drying up and falling off in about three weeks or less. The disease is not formally recognized by physicians, so a cure or treatment is also not recognized. Formal studies and patient reporting show this breakthrough natural mineral product to heal Morgellons in as little as a few weeks. This unknown and misunderstood disease can ruin lives, so an organic, natural, mineral supplement is certainly worth a try and is guaranteed to be effective.
