If you have your own boat you can also dock them at any of the marinas in MA, provided you pay the required fees and become a member of that community. More than just gaining knowledge from conversations in different circles, having a boat of your own to use during weekends and holidays is the best way to experience the exhilarating feeling of roaming the seas.
