Mothers Milk is the fourth studio album by American band Red Hot Chili Peppers
, released August 16, 1989 at EMI. After the death of guitarist Hillel Slovak and drummer Jack straight start Irons, Anthony Kiedis the singer and bassist Flea were joined by guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith. Frusciante significantly modifies the band's sound with emphasis on melody to rhythm, which was predominant before.
The album was more commercial success than the previous three albums combined.
