2009 was when the frame was drastically changed, but there were still some changes before then to cater to smaller details. In 94 the oil-tank was moved to fit below the trannie. The battery was also relocated from its original position of beside the rear saddlebag, to below the passengers seat cushion. There was one more notable change in frame design when the need for a battery of larger size was introduced in 97.

If youve ever spent a road-trip amount of time on a sport bike then you would know they are not at all the best option for touring or traveling long distances. The other kind of motorcycle you would want to avoid using when you plan on traveling, is the dual purpose bikes which are most commonly used for dirt biking when theyre not being driven on the road.

Having a big windshield, radio, cushioned seat, saddlebags, and a Harley Davidson Fairing on your touring bike is the best way to get from point A to point B when youre investing in a motorcycle.
