For example, the MOT class and the speed limits are two very important factors which will be taken account of while re-registering the motorhome conversion.If you do not re-register and drive your motorhome, it will still be considered as a van and not a motorhome.

From the insurance aspect, you must never drive your motorhome with van insurance. This is because of the fact that the motorhome insurance has completely different requirements than that of a van. If you drive with your van insurance, the insurance cover will not be valid for the motorhome conversion and hence, consider getting motorhome conversion insurance before you take your motorhome for travelling.

Motorhome conversion may have cost you a lot and hence, your vehicles insurance value increases considerably. This calls for a different insurance policy.

It is true that not all insurers are happy to give cover for motorhome conversion but there are definitely some insurers available who will be happy to give the cover that you are looking for and hence, you must search a bit to get what you need.
