Usually motorists get pulled over by the Police for driving way over the speed limit

, but for one man in Colchester, who was caught and arrested for driving way under the speed limit in a toy Barbie car, is now faced with losing his license for travelling at a shocking speed of 4mph.

The Telegraph website has reported that the man in question was pulled over by police as he drove an electric Barbie car, which moves slower than a mobility scooter and while under the influence of alcohol. This takes drink driving to a whole new level if you ask me!

The man from Colchester has admitted to being a complete twit and has also said you have to be a contortionist to get in, and then you cant get out. Although this is clearly a serious driving offence, you cant but help to see the funny side of it imagine a grown man stuck inside a Barbie car that had been pimped with bigger wheels, travelling at 4mph!

Once the alcohol had worn off Im sure the reality struck as the driver now faces a three year driving ban after being caught behind the wheel of a toy car imagine having to explain that one to your insurance company. According to the Daily Record website, officers warned the driver not to drive the car when they found him in the road earlier this month, but he ignored them and made a slow getaway. The mans defence to the charges against him were that he had been drinking while working on the car, but when he took it out, he didnt realise how drunk he was.

Chairman of the bench Neil Munson revealed that he had never seen the like of it in 15 years on the bench, according to DailyRecord.co.uk. Now the driver has been sentenced and fined 85 he is hoping to get the Barbie car back, after it was confiscated by police at the scene of the crime.
