Motoring News: Unusual Road Signs

There have been reports over the years that suggest there are many factors that distract motorists

, but the latest rather bizarre report has come from Italian motorists who claim to be distracted by the new road signs warning them to be aware of prostitutes, according to The Sun website.

Road signs can at times be unclear, but this example of an amusing road sign is completely confusing motorists, reports PistonHeads.com, with many drivers unsure of whether they are meant to be looking out for prostitutes crossing the road, or that they simply operate in the area.

Warning! Drunks on the road, is the new road sign that Romanian motorists will be seeing, in a desperate bid to warn drivers of road safety. This warning comes following an increase in traffic accidents involving drunks stumbling into the road, reports Mirror.co.uk.

If you find yourself driving in the North York Moors, North Yorkshire, you will notice a road sign saying Fryup, which unfortunately isnt pointing to the nearest cafe that sells delicious breakfast, but in fact is simply a town located nearby road signs really can be so deceiving sometimes!

The French may have some regrets when they realise the English translation of the road sign Prat Communal, which has been reported by The Mirror website as being one of the funniest road signs in the world. Im not sure that the local residents would find it so funny when they realise what they are being referred to as.

The recent outbreak of prostitute warning signs in Italy is quite easy to translate, with around 30 of these watch out for prostitutes signs being placed on a well known road near Trevisco, northern Italy. According to The Mirror website many motorists admitting to slowing down to get a proper look at the sign, which ironically is adding to the hazards on Italys roads.
