Motorola Xoom: The Latest In The Tab War
The Motorola Xoom is scheduled for its launch on 2nd March and this has taken the so called tablet war to even higher scales
. And with the HP WebOS also to be launched anytime, this war is ready to get a little more intense.
iPad2 is also scheduled to be launched on 2nd March with all the features that werent available in iPad1 and also an updated version of iOS along with the up gradation of The Mac and The Lion. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is being raved about all over the place from quite some time. It overcame all the issues that were creating a problem in the Windows Phone by the Microsoft.
Motorola Xoom, on the other hand is using this time to make and leave its mark in the market. It has all the features that are required to make a tablet an instant hit with the users:
Having powered with the Honeycomb, which is basically an OS designed primarily for the tabs with the larger screens. It is basically Android 3.0 rather than Android 2.2 which is usually present in the tabs available in the market. Honeycomb is much more flexible and less complicated than their previous version which makes it a better OS to work with.
One of the main features that make a tab easy to use is its screen size. For the record, the 7 and the lesser sizes are very uneasy when it comes to typing. But there is no such problem in Motorola Xoom. Its 10.1 screen makes typing very easy and comfortable. Also its screen resolution (1,280 x 800 pixels) increases its clarity in gaming.
Like its immediate competitor tabs, Motorola Xoom also has an IPS (in-panel switching) panel which is very useful since it lets viewing from a wider angle and also from various angles without causing the screen from getting blurred.
It is powered by 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 Dual Core processor, which comes to use while switching between various programs with speed and accuracy.
With the storage capacity of 32 GB along with the additional 32 GB in microSD, there is enough memory to store whatever one can probably think of.
The 5 MP rear cameras and 2 MP front cameras, it becomes easier to shoot pictures and mini videos.
Another good feature that this tab provides is the HDMI out which lets you connect it to the TV sets.
Finally, when it comes to the price, it is quite expensive as compared to its competitors. But the features provided by this tab make the price worth it.
