Today, MovieTickets.com announced a milestone as the company signs Showplex Cinemas as its 200th theater chain. Showplex operates in 10 locations with 81 screens, in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. In just under a year 50 additional movie theater chains have joined MovieTickets.com exclusively. The 200 theater chains represented by MovieTickets.com are about 10 times the number of chains as its nearest competitor, making MovieTickets.com the largest online movie ticketing provider when measured by the number of exhibitor partners.
