Here are four important tips to make the leap to using Gimp.

1. Gimp is not Photoshop.

No it is not Photoshop. And it never will. But is it as good as Photoshop? For most applications it is, especially Web graphics, it will be as good. For printing, Photoshop is better. 2. Read the manual.
