First let me start with introductions: My name is Nina Schneider and I have made the choice to become a medical transcriptionist

. Allow me to tell you my story. In 2000, I graduated from high school with no intentions to go away to college. After careful thought, I decided to take distance learning courses through Stratford Career Institute. I chose the Paralegal diploma because at the time, I was interested in Law. The courses were supposed to take 3 years but because of my dedication and hard work, I was able to complete the course in about 18 months. I got my diploma from Stratford Career Institute and am quite proud of myself -- but unfortunately, it didn't get me anywhere. In 2001 -- in the middle of my Law studies -- I moved to New York State to be with my partner and possibly start a family. I had no family of my own out here so it was up to ME to find a career and go with it.

I began looking for jobs immediately to no avail. Time moved on and I had started a family -- putting any future schooling plans on hold for a little while. After a few years of being a stay at home parent, I decided to get a college education at Hudson Valley Community College-- after all, if I completed the college courses and successfully graduated I would be the first and ONLY college graduate in my family. In May of 2007, I graduated with an AAS in Human Services -- let the job searching begin!! After many unsuccessful job interviews, I took a break and focused on my family -- while still searching diligently for jobs. In 2009, I finally acquired a data entry job but was unfortunately let go due to lack of work being brought in by the company. After I was let go, my car broke down [permanently] and our household income suffered severely--so it was back to the drawing board for me. I knew that whatever I chose to do now, was going to have to focus around me being home, as I have no income and no way to fix my vehicle. SN:0TG9Y2ESY

With that in mind, I decided to take online courses that would actually GET me somewhere. I wanted to take courses and acquire a job that I would LOVE, so I chose MT. I always had an interest in the medical field because my mother got me interested in it. She works as a successful physician's assistant and has been for many years. When I told her my plans to become a work from home medical transcriptionist, she was VERY proud of me and that just made me want to do it all the more. Home typist jobs would be perfect for me there's always a need for help in the medical field, there's jobs locally for MT's in my immediate area, I can work from home, I have great support from friends and family who have vied to help me in my studies and the price was perfect for me! I am a hard worker and put 110% into everything I do and I'm going to take this course with or without financial help. I'm looking forward to the work and can't wait until I can send out for my stuff! I researched NUMEROUS Medical Transcription courses online and this was the one for me!
