Teachers looking for an exciting destination for school concert tours should consider a trip to Dublin - Ireland's center of music. Boasting a wealth of historical sights and venues perfect for school performances, youngsters are sure to have a memorable and worthwhile experience.

Written in Latin and featuring calligraphy and Insular illumination - a post-Roman British art form - the book is an astonishing work of art.

After learning about the history of the area, students will be able to perform at locations such as the bandstand at St Stephen's Green - a park in the city. They can also choose to take part in activities such as an Irish dancing evening, where they can learn some tradition steps with their peers.

Teachers can also take their pupils to Dublinia, an interactive exhibition which will help them to understand the city's history, including medieval and Viking periods. And for a treat, the nearby seaside town of Bray is a good place to finish up the trip, where students can enjoy a mile of beachfront promenade before heading home.
