Mussoorie became famous when an audacious British military officer visited this place in 1827 with Mr. Shore, the dweller Superintendent of Revenues at Dehradun and came up with a shooting lodge. Ever since then there has been a regular inflow of tourists here. Slowly and gradually Mussoorie had to its acclaim, the title of honeymoon capital of India and the Queen of Hills, where romance can be felt in the air and everywhere around.
