The Ford Company started its production of the fifth generation Ford Mustang cars in the year 2005 and gradually developed the cars features by 2010

. Eventually, the fifth generation cars received upgraded Mustang Parts and their engine became more powerful. The fifth-generation Mustang model design was based on preproduction concept of two cars that first introduced at the 2003 North American International Auto Show by the company. Since its introduction, there have been several variants of the fifth-generation Ford Mustang such as the Mustang GT/California Special, Shelby Mustang and Boss 302 Mustang. The present Mustang GT is outfitted with a limited slip differential which is further complete with the carbon-fiber clutch discs. This clutch disc is similar to the ones used in the 2003 to 2004 SVT Cobra and also it was used in the vehicle Shelby GT500 that was introduced in 2007. The differential includes for the 31-spline axles and the 8.8 in (224 mm) ring gear. Additionally, this model is also equipped with Automatic transmission.

The Mustang GT is identified on the base of standard Mustang Parts. In addition to its higher performance power-train, the Mustang GT consists of a stiffer that enables better handling of the standard suspension. It is available with larger 12.4-inch front brake discs, standard four-channel ABS with traction control, a two-piece drive shaft, a stainless steel dual exhaust, standard grille-mounted fog lights, and 17-inch wheels with optional 18-inch wheels. In 2007, Ford Compnay introduced the GT California Special package, the package included 18" polished aluminum wheels, non-functional side scoops, and unique vinyl striping. The GT/CS was also available with a different front fascia and rear valance with diffuser. On the other hand the GT California Special that was introduced by the Ford Company in 201 included the Five liter Mustang GT and the front fascia is replaced with the one used in the 2011 Boss 302.
