My Canon Powershot A1100 Review - A First-Rate Compact Camera
My Canon Powershot A1100 Review - A First-Rate Compact Camera
At first I was hesitant to compose a Canon Powershot A1100 review. I have owned a digital camera for a few years but have never got to grips with it. It has many controls and when I want to use it I can never remember what they are for. As I didn't use it a great deal it seemed that each time I needed to make use of it the battery was dead.
Before I started I didn't think that the Canon would be any different but I must acknowledge that I was wrong. I was delighted to see that it employs ordinary AA batteries. I have been using rechargeables but if I discover they are dead I can now borrow batteries from some other piece of equipment and still take pictures.
I again doubted how positive this Canon Powershot A1100 Review may turn out when I saw the controls on the top of the camera. There are three separate buttons on top of the camera but I rapidly realized that one is merely the on/off switch, the ring around the shutter release button operates the zoom and the remaining button is to select from the pre-configured modes that come with the camera.
So far so good but I then spotted the buttons on the rear of the camera which obviously had multiple functions and my review took a turn for the worse. Happily in next to no time I understood that they do different things if the camera is in shooting mode or playback mode. I was happy to discover that you can in addition set the camera to work fully automatically, therefore you actually simply have to point and click. Still better, the photos it creates are very good.
I then turned to the software package supplied with the Cannon Powershot A1100 wondering if this could be as easy as the camera itself. Happily I found it straightforward to install and use the software which actually had a few handy features.
As you can most likely tell I am now a big fan of the Canon Powershot A1100. I found it easy to use and it has the ability to be just point and shoot or to allow the user more control. Without doubt the prime factor in assessing a camera should be the standard of the images it takes and here the Canon doesn't disappoint. The color reproduction is good and detail is sharp.
Hopefully this Canon Powershot A1100 review will be of assistance if you are shopping for a camera which has plenty of helpful features, is straightforward to use and produces great pictures.
