. In addition to Gerard Way and Matt Pelissier, the band is made up of Gerard Way's younger brother Mikey Way, who acts as the group's bassist, as well as the guitarists Frank Iero and Ray Toro. Shortly after their inception, the newly christened My Chemical Romance - named after a book that Mikey Way found at the library - found their big break upon signing with Eyeball Records, which wasted no time releasing the brand new band's debut album "Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love" as early as 2002. A year later, the band signed with Reprise Records, where they produced arguably their first majorly successful album "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge," followed not long after by wildly popular concept album "The Black Parade."

Their latest album, "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys" - often shortened simply to "Danger Days" - was recently released. To be exact, the brand new album hit music stores on November 22, 2010, to wide acclaim from critics and the excitement of diehard fans of the band. Like "The Black Parade," "Danger Days" was created as a concept album, the general theme being the lives of the "Fabulous Killjoys," set in a version of California existing in the year 2019. These "Fabulous Killjoys," of course, are none other than the alter egos of the My Chemical Romance band members themselves, with Gerard Way as "Party Poison," Ray Toro as "Jet Star," Frank Iero as "Fun Ghoul," and young Mikey Way as "Cobra Kid." The album opens with the track "Look Alive, Sunshine," and concludes, in contrast, with a number entitled "Vampire Money," preceded by the equally dark sounding "Goodnite, Dr. Death."

The album has met with largely positive reviews, with British alternative music magazine "Rock Sound" commenting that the band members sound as if they're having "more fun than ever," while other critics have remarked that the band has clearly been learning from its previous musical experiments, and accordingly "tightening up" their sound. Although some fans may have become disinterested in the band's latest take on their musical style, it cannot be denied that in "Danger Days," My Chemical Romance has built on their previous sounds and themes in a new and effective manner.
